Quality Bella time..

For Thanksgiving we went to Chicago to see Ashley graduate from Boot Camp. My sister Erica, her daughter Bella, and my Dad all went and met us there too. We had an awesome trip and it gave us a great chance to spend some quality time with Baby Bella.
Its funny, how much personality she has at 6 months old. Surprising almost. She's so happy and content and she loves everyone.
I loved how she would make the cutest faces when I was taking pictures.

SO everyone makes comments about my purse, I got it in San Francisco last summer and I don't care how big it is. I love it. Some one made a comment a few months back about it. They said "What are you smuggling babies in that thing?" Well now we know I could if I wanted to.
This picture just makes me fall more in love with him. We drove all through the night after work so we could get to the Graduation in time. Right when we got there we went straight to the base and watched the ceremony. Directly after the ceremony we got to visit with Ashley and plan where and what our next move was. I think Paul was releaved that it was back to the hotel. Him and Bella crashed pretty quick.

I think she likes my purse (baby smuggler) as much as I do.

Bad blogger....

Yes, it's true... I even had to be reminded to post a new blog. I think that people forget how much that have going and before you know it they're leaving out the things they like.
We're getting prepared to start remodeling the kitchen of our house. As of last week we started picking out the materials that we like.
Pauls gradparents were here for a visit for about 3 weeks and that gave us the opprotunity to get some ceiling fans installed in the two main bedrooms. That is a bonus because we didn't even have overhead light fixtures.
Slowly but surely its all coming together. I'm sure it's just going to take time

12 DAYS until Ashley graduates from Navy Bootcamp. I'm so proud of her and I can't tell her enough. It's amazing how people and their relationships change as you get older!

Paul and I will be leaving on November 24th to go to Chicago and see Ashley graduate from Bootcamp. I promise to take lots of pictures and blog as soon as we return. Who knows, maybe we'll take the computer with us.
CHICAGO HERE WE COME!!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and Veterans Day.

A day NOT FORGOTTEN.

It's been 8 years since that unforgettable day...
I was a junior in High School. Entering my first year into Criminal Justice. It was the 3rd day of school. When our principal came into our classroom and pulled our 48 person class into his tiny office. Every one of us stared at the TV, not one of us said a word.
On 9/14/01, my dad and a group of men from our local fire departments made a 5 day trip to NYC to help clean the wreckage. It saddens me that the human race is capable of such hate, but it makes me so proud that so many more of us have such big hearts.
Here's to a day we will never forget....

All little time in the great outdoors..

So we got spunky and wanted to take a day out of the weekend and go for a hike. Lucky for us Grays Peak is pretty close so we piled into Pauls truck and headed out on a Sunday Morning. Paul was already excited because I agreed to take his truck, but as we were driving up the trail people started asking if we had room for more. You should have seen the smile on Pauls face. He was so excited to first get the chance to offroad and second that he looked so cool going up the trail that people actually wanted to get in! Off roading makes me nervous on parts like this so I got out of the truck, halfway to a heart attack, and took some pictures of Paul doing all the fun stuff.

We ended up sleeping in a little too late so we didn't get to the trailhead until around 8 or 9AM. By the time we were reaching the top it was soooo windy! Right through your clothes windy!
And can you believe it.. Middle of August and we're having a snowball fight.. I won by the way, I always win.. Just kidding.

I think Pauls favorite parts of all this camping and hiking is that he gets to use his GPS, and his gear, not to mention bouncing up and down the trail in his truck.

My favorite part is it's not about being Glamorous. Hopefully next time we'll wake up in time and climb both Grays and Torreys!

It's been too long.

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Since Paul came home from WLC it's been nonstop around here! Lots of work is being done on our house so I'll have to put up some new pictures. I promise I will be better.
As far as whats been going on... I went back to NY for a week to visit my family. Paul parents were here for a visit, our friend Cody came to stay with us for a couple weeks, and my little sister Ashley came to live with us for a while. All the company has been great but we're exhausted.
I was extremely busy while I was home also. I got to meet 2 new nieces, my little sister graduated High School, my friend Tiffany got married, I had plenty of family to visit!
Sams Graduation Cake. We're so proud of her! She is starting school at JCC this fall.
My niece Chloe. Shes such a smart little girl. If you tell her you love her she will say... "I know."
My new niece Jade. Big blue eyes! No one puts her to sleep like I do.
Chloe in the bounce house. I kepts saying "Chloe you're so cute" and she would say, "I know."
My new niece Bella with her dad Sam. Bella makes the cutest faces.
My niece Talise. I spoiled her a little bit while I was home. It's hard not to when you don't see them very often.
Jess.Ash.Sarah.Nikki all of us ready for Tiffanys wedding.
This is a picture of Nikki hanging out with Bella at the wedding. Bella turned out to be quiet the little party animal!

Its great to have Ashley around because she helps out alot around the house. If we're working on something she is right there to help us out. Shes pretty ambitious too. She already found a job and started working! I'm so proud of her.

Ashley and I in Boulder. We took her around a little bit on her first weekend here.

As soon as I get a spare minute I will post more pictures. Like I said, we've been very busy!

WLC

A couple weeks ago Paul left for WLC. Right before my birthday of course. So the Friday after he left I went to a Party with Ashley, that her cousin was throwing. It was so much fun! It helped keep me extra busy so this time would fly by. Thank You Ash for inviting me!!! I had a great time. Not to mention the food was good!

Kim came up last weekend to keep me and the dogs company! I love having her to visit! I'll be sad when she goes back to NY. We went to the zoo all day on Saturday!! I completely forgot my camera so if I can manage to get some from her I will post them. It was a great day for the zoo. Sun was shinning, all the animals were out, and we found good parking!

On Sunday we woke up and mowed the lawn and took out the garbage and pulled the weeds, then we took the dogs to the park. We again got some nice weather for the morning and most of the afternoon. Because of all the rain we have been getting the park was GREEN!

I'm just happy Paul will be home tomorrow. Apollo has been quite the pain... (Chewing EVERYTHING) I'm so glad this was only a couple of weeks. It's a nice change from a year.
