Winter Wonderland...

So you remember the snow we got that melted away in a day? Well that just happened to be the day we usually take the dogs to the dog park. It was barely snowing down town so we thought nothing of it and headed Southwest to Chatfield. The closer we got the worse it got. Pauls brother was in town so we figured we would keep going. All of us were bundled up just in case anyway. It gets pretty windy out there. Little did we know the snow was almost to our knees!

Who can forget Thanksgiving!? The first picture is the dinner we had with Brian and Melinda! I made the turkey.. And then of course... who can forget Pumpkin Swirl Cheesecake? I had to make 2!

Sorry.. I'll add the picture of the Turkey later.. I hope everyone had an AWESOME Thanksgiving!! We had so much to be thankful for this year!!!!

WELCOME HOME!

Yes! It's true. They are FINALLY HOME! We barely made it to the Airport to see them return but all that matters is they are home! Thank you to everyone who was there with us to see them come home! And thanks for wearing your awesome new t-shirts!! It was great of you all to be there!

Paul and I went to the dog park on Sunday morning and took a stroll with the boys! I'm just so happy to have him home I couldn't help but take a picture!

They're FINALLY coming HOME!

What a good weekend last week!!! Even though we got word that our guys wouldn't be home as soon as we expected we made the best out of it! And what better way than to make signs and T-shirts welcoming them home!? Here are some pictures so you can enjoy some of the fun we had!

Today I got an email saying that our guys are OUT OF AFGHANISTAN and enroute to the USA!!!!!! What GREAT NEWS! It wasn't clear when to expect them to be on America soil but we know they're coming! As far as them being back to Denver, hopefully Wednesday or Thursday next week.. Everyone cross your fingers!

NOVEMBER AT LAST!

November 1st was the last day of Elitches for the season.. Matt and Julia got a few extra tickets so we took advantage of the good weather! What a fun day! Though the park was PACKED and the lines were ridiculous, we certainly kept eachother busy laughing and talking in line!

Yes it's true!! We rode the carousel horses. It ws the shortest line we stood in!!!!

So at dinner I really showed my true colors. after spilling water ALLLL OVER the table the server gave me a cup with a lid and a straw.. He was probably already sick of cleaning up after me!

Now we're in the very last 2 weeks of this deployment!! Can you believe it? So this next 12 days or so we have LOTS of things planned.. I know the guys have to be soooo anxious! The new team is settling in, and our guys are playing the waiting game.. Better the waiting game, than the working game!!! We're soooo ready for this to be over!

Weekend with the Girls!!

Well I know we all posted these pictures.. but I really wanted too also!! These weeks seem to be getting longer and longer. So spending time with friends really helps to speed things up a little!! Last Wednesday, was Andrews birthday so we all went to dinner to Celebrate for him!

It was just us girls at the haunted corn maze! It's funny how silly you feel afterwards! But soooo much fun! We must be pretty smart girls because we got out of there in a jiffy.

ANNNNNNNND...... last but not least! I got a hair cut!

Avs Vs. Bruins!

Ash and I went to the Avs vs. Bruins!! It was the Season Opener! What a fun fun fun time!!! Not only did we have AWESOME seats (thank you Marshall and Padraic), but it was a pretty big night too!!!

Cammi Granato became the first female to be named to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, also NHL stars Mike Richter, Brian Leetch and Brett Hull.

Hejduk scored his 599th goal of his career!

One of the Bruins shattered the glass!! This was kiddie corner from our seats! It was awesome!

Also it was the start of Sakic's 20th Season in the NHL.

So all in all! Great night! It was so nice to get out of the house and do something that didn't feel like a chore on a weekday! Who knows... maybe we'll get good seats for the Lacrosse games!!!

Recent Events..

Well!! I'll have you all know that we are expecting our soldiers home the middle of next month.. NEXT MONTH!!!!! I can't even express my excitement through this blog. We've been keeping ourselves pretty busy trying to pass the time!
