I'll just start with... New Zealand = AMAZING!
I'm sure it was a combination of all being together and being in such a beautiful country.
12 days of our trip was spent on an incredible beach, with gorgeous views and excellent weather.

Kingston is the biggest beach bum I've ever seen. He could have played in the sand and water all day everyday. After each day at the beach he would need a bath to wash endless amounts of sand from his hair. I don't understand why they do that but it's cute.
The house we rented for the bulk of our trip was in Tairua, NZ on the Coromendal Peninsula. This is on the North Island. Tairua is an ideal vacation spot for Kiwis, and now we can see why. It was quiet and comfortable. The beaches were private and prefect for our little getaway. Its not much like the US where every beach is packed with lawn chairs and umbrellas. I've never seen so many people in fishing boots though.
Paul and Kingston stood just like this for about an hour so Kingston could get used to the water. We just let the waves bury our feet in the sand. I swear the sound of waves crashing will never get.
